2026 August Sprout 2 News

Sprout 2 Families

In July, the Sprouts explored Rocks, Sand, and Water.

We had the chance to examine rocks and describe what we saw, like colors and textures. We did many activities with kinetic sand. A fan favorite was the scavenger hunt with the kinetic sand, where Sprouts had opportunities to find and name items in their tray.

We took advantage of the July heat and did many water activities both inside and outside the classroom. The Sprouts had a blast with this month’s theme for sure!

Monthly Highlights

Avery, our nearly bilingual friend, has been teaching her friends the song ‘Los Colores”. Avery learned that song so quickly, and we are amazed by how fluent she sounds!

Eames has been a great addition to Growing Tree. He has made some new friends and loves the kitchens, both inside and outside the classroom.

Kollins has mastered more Spanish this month, especially regarding farm animals. Her favorite seems to be “chiva,” which is goat.

Maisy has really enjoyed reading new books this month. Her current favorite is ‘Tinka at the Beach,’ about a dog going to the beach. The dog reminds her of ‘Hankie Boy’ (Maisy’s dog), and all her friends call the dog “Hankie” too.

Milo has really enjoyed the ladder builders. He has constructed many ladders, boxes, garages, hammers, and even a “plate”.

Oliver has enjoyed the mini cars and building boxes with magnets. He creates scenarios, and we love hearing the excitement in every ‘bbrrmmmm’ and ‘oooooo’.

Thomas has been a big fan of watercolor painting this month. His favorite project was the sandcastle we painted with watercolors.

Theo has done an amazing job adjusting to his new classroom, both inside and outside. He has been a pro on the Strider bikes since day one!

In August, we will study ‘Things That Go’. We will explore transportation, different types of vehicles, and their purposes.

Before summer ends, we want to thank each of you for such a wonderful and fun year. We know your children will do amazing in the Bud Room. They have learned so much and will continue to use their knowledge to grow into smart and capable little ones.

Best of luck in this exciting new year!

With love, Miss Jennifer & Miss Yesenia.
