Dear Blossom Families,

The music study this month has been very engaging for our Blossom learners! We learned about different instrument families, music genres, and some famous composers and musicians. The Blossoms explored the mini piano, xylophone, ukulele, and the oldest instrument: the human voice.
We’ve been using toy instruments to sing along to songs we enjoy and to learn about rhythm. We created instruments from paper, cardboard, tape, and popcorn kernels. We are also having ongoing conversations about how music makes us feel and practicing our songs for graduation!
Alongside our music study, we’ve continued discussing current themes like upcoming changes, the memories we’ve made, what we’ve learned, and how we can make new friends, practice solving social problems, and bloom in Kindergarten.
It was wonderful to see most of you at our annual Growing Tree Barbeque! We always look forward to our outdoor gatherings and the opportunity to connect more with your families. Thank you in advance for joining us at the Blossom Graduation Ceremony! It will be a joy to have all our incredible Blossom families come together for an evening of celebration and fun! The Blossoms are excited to perform for you, and their teachers, past and present, are eager to celebrate with you!
To wrap up this year, we will participate in three-week-long projects chosen by our very own Blossoms! Our explorations will include:
- Camping: Where to go, what to pack, and outdoor activities.
- Fashion: What it is, how it’s made, and the style ideas the children have.
- Books: Their history, how they’re made, their parts, and some of our favorites.
It has been such a joy to learn and work with all of you this year, supporting your children’s growth and needs. We truly appreciate all the time, donations, and encouragement you have shared with the Blossom community. It has been a privilege to watch each of our Blossom students learn and grow.
We’ve explored many amazing things about our wonderful world, and along the way we’ve laughed, cried, danced, pretended, built, experienced, played, learned, and grown! We are so grateful for our time together.
We hope to see you at Graduation after school on Wednesday, August 19th! Our last day of school will be August 28th.
