Hello, Bud Families!
Welcome to the Bud classroom. We are so excited to have you!
My name is Miss Sidney, and I look forward to working with our brand-new Buds! I recently moved to Bend from Corvallis and started working at Growing Tree in March. I did one year at Noah’s Ark Preschool previously and found out that teaching is my calling! I enjoy witnessing kids learn new skills and gain confidence in themselves.
I am Ms. Stephanie, and many of you already know me. I previously worked up front assisting Tammy. I tried to retire, but my love for the children and watching them grow was hard to leave, so when Tammy asked if I would like to return to work in the classrooms, I could not turn it down. I have been back at Growing Tree for almost a year and a half now and love it. I have worked my entire career in Early Education, which is my passion. I look forward to working with my co-teachers and creating a positive, loving learning environment for your children. Yeah, class of 2039!
This month, we will start off the school year learning about our emotions! We will do some “I feel” emotion flip books, Gratitude activities, and some silly emotion songs. Our goal is that our Buds will learn a few useful re-centering tools such as breathing techniques, recognizing the causes of our emotions, and how to express how we are feeling using positive reinforcement. This will set the foundation for independence and growth that we will use throughout the year.
We will also be creating a family board, so please bring a picture of your family to add to the masterpiece! Please note that this is an age of growth and independence, but learning responsibility is an ongoing process. To help us and to help your kiddos, please make sure to label every item of clothing or personal item you bring into the classroom. This will help us ensure that everything goes back to the right places, especially with more responsibility for the children.
