Welcome, Sprout 2 families,
Our October study was Paper. The Sprouts made spooky paper crafts and had fun playing with Halloween-themed sensory bins. It was clear which project they liked best: the Spooky Spider.
Monthly Highlights:
- Eames is a big fan of the new Montessori play sets. He finds new ways to use each piece—or enjoys doing the same thing over and over again.
- Over the last couple of weeks, Graham has really let his personality shine. He’s also shown us that he enjoys certain books, especially shorter ones.
- Milo loved exploring the different sensory bins, especially those filled with shaving cream.
- Oliver had a great time acting out all our facial expressions. Silly Ollie!
- Ren has really settled in, and whenever there is music, she is the first to show us some new moves. Go, Ren!
- Sonny has crafted some amazing structures with the blocks and has also been a huge fan of the cupcake-shaped sorter set.
- Theo was fascinated by every pumpkin he saw, whether in books or on the counter. Theo was impressed!
- Thomas has done an amazing job reminding his friends of the classroom expectations. If he sees someone banging a toy on the window, he is the first to hold a friend’s hand and walk them to the carpet. Thank you, Thomas!
November’s study “Shoes and Socks“
The Sprouts will continue practicing how to put on and take off their socks and shoes (or at least try for some friends). We will study which types of shoes are appropriate for the upcoming seasons. Sprouts will practice their sorting and matching skills. We will also include some fun Thanksgiving crafts.
November Books:
- Mommas Work Shoes
- I love My White Shoes
- There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Turkey
November Songs:
- Can you Make A Happy Face Mr. Turkey
- I’m A Little Turkey.
We say goodbye to our good friend Oliver as he will be joining the Bud room.
- Friendly Reminders:
- Growing Tree is closed:
- Wednesday November 11th for The Annual Meet and Greet.
- Thursday & Friday November 26th & 27th for Thanksgiving
Have a great month! Miss. Yesenia and Miss. Jennifer
