Dear Big Seed Families,
We hope all our moms had a fantastic Mother’s Day. Thank you for all you do! Don’t worry, dads—we didn’t forget about you guys. We will soon start getting those little hands in action for Father’s Day!
Did you hear all the farm animal noises our Big Seeds have been making? We sure listened to a little bit of everything at the Big Seed Farm. We enjoyed galloping around the ”Farm” and playing with our animals. We also got to pet some of the farm animals in our Farm Touch and Feel book during circle time. The soft sheep sure were a top favorite!
Our June study is Things that go. Prepare your ears to hear our loud car noises; we have been working on them. Wait until you watch how fast we zoom out the door every day. This month, we will observe and hear all the firetrucks, school buses, and other vehicles that pass by during our outside time. We have all been preparing our dump trucks to start digging and dumping. We will use our boats during water play once the hot weather arrives.

May Highlights:
Eliza has enjoyed building cages for all of the farm animals with the pegs & peg boards.
Sydney has enjoyed putting the animals in the dump truck & taking them for a ride, pretending to be the farmer.
Avery has been interested in the sounds of farm animals. She enjoys trying to make the animal sounds of the correct animal when we read books at Circle Time.
Elliott has loved watering the plants outside in the afternoons. He looks forward to it every day, & waits patiently for his turn.
Collette loves to look for flowers on the apple tree whenever we go outside. She enjoys smelling them & sharing them with her friends.
Luca enjoys filling up the wheelbarrow with dirt & moving it around to different spots in the flower bed.
Lily has been working hard with the shape sorters & trying to get the right shapes to fit in the correct hole. She has even been trying to repeat the names of the shapes.
Elle has loved dressing up! The hats are her favorite! She likes to try them all on & look at herself in the mirror.
We have happy and sad news: Eliza is moving to the Sprout room in June. We are incredibly excited for her, as she is well-prepared to join Sprout 2. It is bittersweet for us as she has been so fun to watch grow. We will miss you, Miss Eliza
