2026 November Sprout 1 News

Dear Sprout Families,

We hope you’re all enjoying the fun fall vibes and spooky season as much as we are! Doing fun, themed activities and crafts with your kiddos brings us so much joy! It’s a great reminder to be present, have fun, and dive into that nostalgic, childlike wonder we tend to forget from time to time. Our kids have been so obsessed with our fall and Halloween books. As I lay my head on my pillow at night, I recite “Duck and Goose Find a Pumpkin” or sing “The Spooky Wheels on the Bus” to myself. Sometimes work has no choice but to come home with you.

Next month, we are going to practice gratitude and show our loved ones ways to express appreciation! We have many books about giving thanks, the role gratitude plays in the community, and showing up for each other. Every day, we take small steps toward practicing appreciation, whether it is through simple ‘please and thank yous’, checking in with each other, sharing, or little reminders that we are on the same team!

This Little Sprout..

  • Archie loves the bikes so much that he can’t pick a favorite. He will take a lap on one, then hop off to try another, take it for a spin, and then try yet another. I’m intrigued to see whether we will have a preference once we’ve considered all the bikes.
  • Having Eleanor in our class is like solving a puzzle, except the puzzle we’re trying to solve is what her growls mean. Is it a ‘this food is good’ growl, a ‘I am pumped up’ growl, or a ‘this is your fair warning’ growl? But her smile melts us!
  • Hudson is our Halloween king. He loves his skellys and all things spooky! At the end of the day, Sammy plays the ‘Spooky Scary Skeletons’ song, and he locks in and nods his head back and forth to it.
  • Jack has been obsessed with the book “Happy Pumpkin Day. Mouse!” If he hears someone reading it, he stops what he’s doing and makes a happy, sad, silly, and scared face as it goes through all the different pumpkins Mouse made!
  • Levon is the man with a plan. He loves the magnatiles and builds with them. He gathers them all together and builds spaces for his cars and frogs to stay in!
  • Beckham and Wolfy have both entered the “but why??” phase. This phase is so fun and exploratory until they start asking you questions you can’t answer. Maybe we can start a thread of all the questions these two NEED answers.
  • Avery has been such a big snuggle bug. Nothing makes us happier than seeing her face light up as she runs over and gives us the biggest squeeze. These little moments are so important!

IMPORTANT DATES

  • November 11- Meet and greet with parents!
  • November 26 and 27- CLOSED for Thanksgiving

REMINDERS

Please bring layers for your child! The weather is always unpredictable, so we appreciate having options! T-shirts, long sleeves, sweatshirts, pants, and jackets are helpful items to have as we navigate Bends’ ever-changing weather!

That’s it for October

Samantha & Teresa
