2026 November Growing Tree News

THE LITTLE HANDS WE HOLD

THE BIG HEARTS WE NURTURE

THE FAMILIES WHO TRUST US WITH

THEIR GREATEST TREASURES

-Growing Tree

Sometimes, in the busyness of my day, I stop for a moment to take it all in. The “good morning, Ms Tammy,” the laughter in a classroom, the smiles on faces when they see their teacher, the friendships forming, and the pride on your child’s face when they accomplish something on their own. These moments remind me just how special Growing Tree truly is.

I want you to know how deeply grateful we are for the trust you place in us. You share with us what is most precious in your lives, and we will never take that lightly. We know that behind every child is a family who loves them beyond measure, and we feel incredibly fortunate to be part of their story.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful children with us. They fill our days with purpose, our classrooms with joy, and our hearts with memories that will last a lifetime.

Parent Teacher Meet & Greet

Wednesday, November 11th – Veterans Day

Growing Tree will be closed to students on Wednesday, November 11th, as we set aside this special day for our Parent-Teacher Meet & Greet!

This is a wonderful opportunity for families to spend a little one-on-one time with their child’s teachers, hear about what their child is learning and experiencing, celebrate their growth, and discuss any questions or concerns. We value the partnership we share with our families, and these conversations help us continue to provide the very best for your children.

Sign-up sheets will be available beginning November 1st. We hope every family will take advantage of this opportunity to connect, share, and celebrate all the wonderful things happening at Growing Tree!

We are excited to welcome you to our Annual Poinsettia Fund Raiser! Looking for volunteers to deliver poinsettias? See me!

It’s hard to believe our annual poinsettia sale has been part of the holiday season at Growing Tree Children’s Center for more than 30 years. Year after year, families, friends, local businesses, and community members have supported this tradition, and we are incredibly grateful.

When you purchase or sell a poinsettia or wreath from Growing Tree, you are doing more than adding a little holiday cheer to your home or business. Funds raised through our poinsettia sale directly support staff development and professional growth for our teachers. Your support enables us to invest in our staff and helps them grow as early childhood professionals.

At Growing Tree, we believe that investing in our teachers is one of the very best ways we can invest in our children. Strong, knowledgeable, supported teachers create the nurturing, engaging environment our children deserve every day.

Poinsettias are a great way to complete your yearly volunteer hours:

  • Do you need to complete your yearly volunteer hours?
  • Sell to businesses, family, and friends
  • For every 2 poinsettias you sell you will receive 1 volunteer hour
  • Delivering Poinsettias equals volunteer hours
  • I personally will deliver the plants to the businesses you sold the plants to

I hope you enjoyed your school pictures. Julia and I really enjoyed our day taking pictures. I give her all the credit! She is the best.

At Growing Tree, we believe there is no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing! Fresh air, outdoor play, and winter adventures are essential to children’s health, happiness, and development and their teachers too! During the chilly winter months our children go outside several times a day. A little snow and cold weather won’t stop their fun!

Please make sure your child comes prepared with:

  • Warm snowsuit or snow pants and winter coat
  • Waterproof winter boots
  • Warm hat
  • Two pairs of waterproof mittens (because one pair always seems to get wet!)
  • Everything clearly labeled with your child’s name!

Winter gear will stay at Growing Tree throughout the week and be sent home each Friday for washing and refreshing, ready to return on Monday for another week of winter adventures!

Being properly dressed allows children to enjoy their outdoor adventures comfortably and safely. Thank you for helping us keep our Growing Tree kiddos warm, happy, and ready for winter fun!

We will be switching over to our Winter menus November 1st. You can find our menus on the bulletin board in the lobby, in the classrooms and on our website under the ??? tab

We will be packing the sunscreen away at the end of the month. If you have personal sunscreen at home, please pick it up in the classroom.
