2026 June Sprout 1 News

Sprout 1 Families

It’s June, Already?! Hello, summer!

We want to thank you all for Teacher Appreciation Week and for your contributions in making us feel special! This is an incredibly busy job but also very rewarding, so your appreciation does not go unnoticed! We are deeply grateful for all of you. S+T

May found us loving dramatic play in the kitchen, making our cupcakes and popsicles! We have been super interested in tea parties and making birthday cakes! The books we adore talk about different roles people play in our society and how fun it is to put ourselves in their shoes! Dramatic play is a cornerstone in early childhood development, allowing them to make sense of the world around them, process complex emotions, and build critical social skills with their peers!

In June, we’re gonna focus on the art of building structures with different materials! We have been so interested in magnatiles and creating buildings to park our favorite toys in to keep them safe! Garages, tracks, roads, gates, and towers, you name it!

June Birthdays

  • June 5th- Ms. Sam’s Birthday
  • June 6th- Ms. Teresa’s Birthday
  • June 19th- Beckham’s Birthday
  • June 25th- Levon’s Birthday

This Little Sprout:

Colette is a little architect! She has been building the coolest towers out of magnet tiles all by herself. It’s so fun watching her ideas come to life!

Crew and Maz have also been loving our magnatiles; we have been building many leveled “garages” for them to park their car-cars in!

Lonnie is like a real rock star; he grabs our green flip phone toy, makes a wide space around himself, and starts singing loudly into it!

Wolf’s new favorite question is “What’s ____ doing?” (ex. Sammy, what’s Reesa doing?) When our friends do this, it’s always a good opportunity to say, “what are they doing?” and they always have an answer! 😉

Georgia and Beckham are our naptime stars! When we’re transitioning from lunch to naptime, Bex and Georgia start their bedtime songs by singing “Hello” to everyone, then finish strong with “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.”

Levon acts so silly when we apply sunscreen; Ms. Sam squishes his face and does “windshield wipers” on his cheeks, which makes him giggle every time!

REMINDERS:

  • Please ensure your child has weather-appropriate extra clothing in their cubby and that the sizes are correct.
  • Sunscreen season started this month, and we apply sunscreen twice a day to ensure your kiddos stay safe in the sun! We can only apply the sunscreen you requested on your form, so if there are any changes, we’ll need to have you re-sign.
  • As the warmer weather approaches, we will be doing more water play. If you have any extra water clothes, bathing suits, or shoes you’d like to bring in, that would be awesome!

We are excited to see what June has in store for us! Thank you all for everything you do; we love being on the same team with you!

Best, Sam & Teresa aka Sammy and Reesa
