2026 March Sprout 2 News

Sprout 2 Families,

Welcome, Sprout families, to another month!

We hope you all had a wonderful month and managed to enjoy some of those ‘early summer weather” afternoons. I know we did.

We are looking forward to meeting with each of you at conferences on Friday, March 20th (reminder: Growing Tree is closed)

During our month of “Me, Myself and I,” the Sprouts enjoyed remembering what makes each of them unique and what they like and dislike. We also played a card game with pictures of different body parts: for example, legs, arms, and hands. Once they identified the picture, we also gave them the Spanish name for that body part.

Avery

Avery has really enjoyed the paint projects. Her favorite part has been occasionally testing the paint to see if the recipe has changed. Silly girl!

Kollins

Kollins did a great job explaining to her friends about her new glasses. She showed them that her glasses are for her eyes and that we need to be very careful and not touch them. Great work, Kollins!

Luca

Luca effectively communicates his needs and desires. He also reminds us of the classroom rules and takes the initiative to teach his friends about them as well

Maisy

Even though we had very little snow this month, Maisy loved every bit of it. Maisy went from lying in the snow to jumping in it and even ate a lot of snow.

Milo

Milo stepped out of his comfort zone this month. He was very excited to explore the play structure, but once he got over the steps, he realized that the tunnel was scarier than he thought. By the end of the week, he was crawling through the tunnel and sliding down the slide. Good job, Milo!

Oliver

Oliver has reconnected with his old friends Thomas and Milo. He’s been showing them his favorite hangouts in and out of the classroom and which toys he prefers outside.

Thomas

Thomas has shown great interest in storyboards. His favorite songs seem to be “No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed” and “The Bunny Song”. At the end of each song, Thomas typically finishes with a quick, happy clap.

Wesley

Wesley has repeatedly shown how independent she has become and how much she cares about helping her friends. Wesley will even set aside her own duties to assist those in need. What a genuine friend!

March’s study: ‘Bubbles and Balls”.

The Sprouts will learn about the characteristics of a ball and the many ways we can use it.

Best

Jennifer and Yesenia
