Seedling Families,
We’ve enjoyed a wonderful month outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine, getting to know our new friends Ren, Eleanor, and Jack and their families. They have done a fantastic job of settling in and adjusting to a new environment, routines, caregivers, and friends. Their giggles and smiles when we talk and sing to them brighten our days.
ack is an easygoing guy who is eager to be active. He has been practicing a lot of rocking on his hands and knees, doing planks, and pushing himself backward around the classroom in an attempt to start crawling. He has learned to push himself back up to a sitting position, and we are confident he will figure out crawling soon.
Ren enjoys hanging out under her baby gym, grabbing and pulling the hanging toys to her mouth to chew on in an effort to get her first two little teeth to come in. She is rolling onto her belly and sitting with help.
Eleanor is all smiles as she watches the big kids run around the classroom from the jumper or her gym. She lights up when we talk or sing to her and giggles and coos at the trees blowing in the wind when we’re outside.
Archie has been rolling over and spending a lot of time on his tummy. He’s squirming his way out of his gym and is eager to start moving. He works hard until his head and eyes begin to droop, and then we know it is naptime.. His persistence and effort are sure to pay off soon.
Hudson is rolling around the class, trying to get where he wants to go, and even pushing himself forward with his toes. He has started eating purees and is a big fan of the new flavors and textures.
Thomas and Milo turned the “BIG ONE” on the 17th and are loving being the big kids in the Seed room. They still aren’t interested in slowing down to walk when they can crawl at warp speed and conquer all the climbing toys in record time. They will walk when they’re ready. Since their friends moved over to the Big Seeds, they are enjoying front-row seats at the little table and lots of extra outside time.
Beckham and Lonnie are confident walkers who take life a little slower than the energetic duo. They enjoy looking at books and can mimic several animal sounds when looking at pictures. They love long cuddles in the chair with a caregiver and are very gentle and kind to their smaller friends, offering toys and smiles as they pass by. Both have enjoyed a couple of meals with the Big Seeds, and Lonnie has even started napping on a cot with them.
This month, Beckham, Milo, Thomas, and Lonnie will spend some time with the Big Seeds as they transition to the Big Seed schedule in September.
We hope everyone has a great month!
Miss Jolene & Miss Blanca
