Sprout 2 Families,
Can you feel the spring weather coming through! March was an exciting month. The kiddos got to experiment with different types of media for art this month. It was as simple as using cotton balls to stamp or cups to make bubbles; they even used marbles to make some abstract art.
This month, we will officially welcome Logan, our student aide and helper from Bend High School. Logan brings a lot of experience, from babysitting family members to serving as a mentor at Bear Creek Elementary. She is familiar with young children. A few times a week, Logan will join the Sprout group for circle time and art. The kids have enjoyed her company as much as we have. Logan is so much fun, and we’re excited for her to be part of our little Sprout family for the next couple of months until school ends.
Avery
Avery has done an amazing job being such a good friend this month. She would give up her spot on the bike when she saw someone waiting and would give up her seat at the table activity, then give it to a friend. Good work, Avery!
Kollins
Kollins loved doing the dish soap and paint activities. She especially enjoyed the “Pot of Gold” she made with her friends.
Luca
Luca has been fascinated with playing football this month. Luca will play football with Miss Jennifer and Miss Yesenia outside, where she is saying, “Can you play football with me?” Luca loves to pass the ball and run after his teachers as they try to score a touchdown before Luca gets to them. Go Luca!
Maisy
Maisy has really enjoyed climbing this month. Maisy has been able to climb onto the turtle shells and some of the stacking stones. Maisy is really showing off her skills!
Milo
Milo really enjoyed creating art with marbles and paint. Although it can be tricky at first, he really got the hang of it.
Oliver
Oliver has been exploring his possibilities with building magnets. He enjoys stacking them and creating tracks. Occasionally, he asks for help to build a house. He seems to really enjoy admiring a house made of magnets.
Thomas
Thomas has been working on his independence, from managing his routine without reminders to helping friends with their coats. Thomas has also been an excellent classroom helper. Great job, Thomas!
Wesley
Wesley was delighted by the marble art. It was obvious she was having a great time as she watched the marble pick up paint and then spread it all over her paper. Wesley even demonstrated to a friend how to do the project with both hands. Way to go, Wes!
April’s study will be Boxes and Containers
The Sprouts will explore the endless possibilities with boxes and containers. They will measure, compare, and fill different objects. April is also full of many fun sensory stations waiting to be discovered.
This month’s books will be:
- Bens Box
- Not a Box
- A Box Can Be Many Things
- What’s In The Box?
Friendly Reminders
- Please bring in a lightweight jacket or a sweatshirt for our afternoon outside time.
Happy Spring!
Miss. Jennifer and Miss Yesenia
