Seedling Families,
It’s been a big month for our Seedlings. Wolf, Lonnie, and Beckham are walking; we had fun with some bubble water play to beat the heat. Some of our friends enjoyed a sweet frozen treat with the Big Seeds, and we got to meet our new friend Archie and his family.
This month, Kollins, Maisy, and Wolf will join the Big Seed room. We didn’t expect to say goodbye so soon, but their enthusiasm and eagerness every time the door opens and they rush through make it clear that they are ready for their next adventure. It’s not goodbye, just ‘see you later,’ as we’ll still get to see and cuddle them when we all go out to play together.
Ren, Jack, and Eleanor will join our group this month. Hudson and Archie will have new friends their size. Our big boy crew has moved on to eating at the little table, drinking their milk in sippy cups, and practicing with open-top cups of water outside. They are always active and seeking new challenges.
We are also welcoming Ms. Ernestine to the Seedling room this week to work alongside Miss Jo and Miss Blanca. The babies enjoyed meeting her and responded well to a new face in the room. We are excited to get to know her and see what new fun and perspectives she will bring to our class.
Hudson has been rolling from his back to his front and then back to his belly again, and he is working on sitting with support. He giggles at the trees in the breeze when we’re outside and helps his new friend Archie settle in with lots of smiles and conversation.
Beckham walked in one Monday morning as if he had been doing it his whole life, and then celebrated his first birthday on the 19th. He discovered the shape sorter and has been very focused on getting the right shapes in the matching holes.
Milo and Thomas will celebrate their birthdays on July 17th. They are both taking steps while holding our hands, but are primarily focused on getting from point A to point B as quickly as possible. They are both little daredevils who keep us on our toes and always make us laugh.
Lonnie will be getting the best of both worlds, spending time with the Big Seeds and the Seedlings. He is a confident walker now and is all in when it comes to water play.
We hope everyone enjoyed their Father’s Day and the cards the babies made. It is one of my favorite projects each year, and they love holding the lightsaber. If you want copies of any of the pictures, confirm the number you’d like them texted to, and Miss Jo will get them to you.
We are excited to see what this month brings with new friends, new teachers, and warmer weather!
Have a wonderful month. Miss Jolene, Miss Blanca, and Miss Ernestine
