We hope you had a wonderful holiday season this month filled with loved ones and laughter! Thank you all for your ongoing support and for making us feel so special. We enjoyed celebrating with everyone and incorporating the holidays into the classroom! Now, we are officially in the year 2026 — can you believe it? We are so grateful for each of you and excited to start the new year with such an incredible group of families. Happy New Year!
What have the Sprouts been learning about?
The sprouts have been getting into the holiday spirit by exploring all the ways we use light in the world! From decorating with Christmas lights to lighting the menorah for the eight days of Hanukkah, it symbolizes celebration and togetherness! Which is exactly what we did this month!
What will we explore next?
This month, we’ll learn about boxes—how we use them and build with them! After a month of gift giving, we’ve probably seen many boxes in and outside the house (our recycling bin can also show this), and this month we’ll explore the many ways they are used! From storage to building forts, we’ll make boxes way more fun!
Important Reminders
Please remember to bring weather-appropriate clothing for winter! We have extra items such as hats, mittens, boots, and sweatshirts available if needed. As winter approaches, please keep snowsuits, snow pants, jackets, boots, mittens, and hats at school.
This Little Sprout…
Colette, Wolf, and Georgia enjoy walking laps around the playground to stay warm! They hold hands with their friends and walk together—it’s too cute!
Beckham and Lonnie love playing with the basketballs and soccer balls in the classroom! They have great aim and even throw the balls back and forth with each other!
Elle and Lily are busy taking care of their babies! They often hold a baby in one hand and pretend to make calls with their play flip phones in the other—busy girls with lots to do!
Mazzy is very interested in our vehicle mix-and-match blocks. We love mixing them up and creating new vehicles!
Together, the Sprouts are fascinated with airplanes. When we are outside, we look for airplanes and helicopters! Right now, we are loving the books “The Wheels the Truck” and “The Little Blue Truck,”
