2026 March Blossom News

Dear Blossom Families,

“Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.”

– Dalai Lama X

These Blossoms are healthy, strong, and ready to take on our next study! We have learned about our healthy habits and manners (skills that will take us far beyond just the classroom) and have applied our new knowledge daily.

We started February by talking about healthy habits that help us stay strong every day. We learned how to brush our teeth properly, had a day of exercise, and explored other healthy habits, including the Blossom Room favorite of reading lots of books!

We then moved on to discussing nutrition. We talked about eating a variety of colorful foods and learned about different food groups. We examined several healthy cookbooks and then tested our knowledge by making a classroom recipe and cooking it! It was a tasty and nutritious meal.

After taking this time to learn about those great habits that keep us going strong, we also learned about our manners. Our Blossom Room focuses on five life skills– we are helpful, patient, respectful, responsible, and careful. We talked about how our manners fit into those life skills we already know! To culminate our manners learning, we held a fancy day with a very special lunchtime and practiced our manners all day.

For March, we will be going into our Oregon Animal study! We are so excited to learn about beavers, peregrine falcons, and other wildlife surrounding us here in Oregon.

Please remember that the weather will remain wet for the next few months. Accidents also happen at this age (and milk spills!). Please ensure your child has extra clothes (including underwear and socks) in their cubby. These little ones are still learning responsibility and it helps to have an outfit to change into if needed.

As always, if you have any knowledge or experience in our study for the month, we would love for you to come and share it with the class! They love to learn from you.

We’re excited to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day soon and might even invite a leprechaun or two into our room!

All the love,

Miss Madeline and Ms. Stephanie
