2026 March Sprout 1 News

Sprout 1 Families

Hello March! Spring is on the horizon (hopefully after at least one more big dump of snow)! This past month was all about love and showing appreciation for one another! Our classroom felt the love! It was so fun to decorate the classroom with the kids’ Valentine’s Day artwork. Having their art displayed for them to see is so important because it boosts their self-confidence, shows their hard work and creativity, and gives them something to be proud of (proud is another emotion we talk about on our feelings chart)! While discussing showing love and appreciation for Valentine’s Day, we’ve also been working on how to express that in our everyday interactions! We’ve been practicing using our “please” and “thank you’s” and learning about the importance of our words. We practice gentle touches with friends and check in on them when they’re upset! It’s so rewarding to put this into practice each day with the kids and see them do it all on their own.

Going into March we do have some big changes coming to our classroom! We will be sending our two besties, Elle and Lily, off on their next adventure and welcoming two new friends, Crew and Levon, to the Sprout Room! We are just so excited for Lily and Elle’s new adventure and will miss them so much. They have been such a huge part of our Sprout Room and have seen so much growth since they have been with us. We are so proud of you girls!! 😍

We welcome Levon and Crew to the Sprout Room! We are excited to meet you all and look forward to the start of our new journeys together

Announcement

If there are any visuals (feelings chart, meal time body, sitting body, different ways to regulate, etc.) that you would like us to send your way, do not hesitate to ask! Seeing the same visuals at home as they do at school can be super helpful. If there are any that you would like to see in the classroom too, please also let us know!

What has your Sprout been up to?

Elle, Lily, Georgia, and Colette have been getting everyone excited for singing and dancing! Every day, Miss Sam comes back from her lunch break to girls passionately singing the ABCs and Happy Birthday! It feels like a surprise birthday party every time I walk in!

Maz is now confidently reciting his favorite books from memory. The other day, I overheard him while preparing for nap time, saying, “What do you see?…..I see car, car… I see truck… I see book!” It’s a bit like the famous “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?”

Beckham is a very important guy! He’s taking phone calls left and right—literally holding two phones—and always answers “Hello, Beckham.” When asked who he’s talking to, he responds, “Beckham.” Technically, he’s not wrong? Wolf

Lonnie is a Lego wizard. He’s built some of the tallest towers, and he gets so focused on them that it’s amazing to watch his craftsmanship! When the tower falls, his face lights up, and he yells, “WOAHH!”

Wolf has been loving our new student aide, who has been joining us during playtime! Wolf and Ariah even switched shoes and were barely walking around in some big, cute Birkenstocks!

Best,

Samantha and Teresa
