2026 February Sprout 2 News

Sprout 2 Families,

January was a fun month! Although I’m sure the kiddos wish we had more snow, we did what we could with what we had. During our month of “Ice Cold,” we explored Arctic animals, snow-related activities, and did many fun winter activities.

We gave Sydney and Eliza a big farewell as they moved to the Bud room. We will miss those silly girls. We then welcomed Milo and Thomas from the Big Seed room, and they have settled in very nicely. They will make a great addition to our Sprout 2 family!

Avery loved the Arctic animal sensory bins. would look at the frozen beluga and say, “Look, baby beluga.”

Kollins really enjoyed learning and repeating new Spanish words. Over the days, we’d hear her say words to her friends. One of her favorite phrases was “No Gracias.”

Luca has been using big words a lot this month. His favorite seems to be ‘Impossible.’ What’s even cooler? He uses it correctly when talking to different teachers. Amazing!

Maisy has been loving the books “Elephant and Piggie” by Mo Willems. Whenever we ask what books she wants to read, Maisy is the first to say, “Piggie!’ They seem to be her favorites right now. Fun fact: They were Miss Jennifer’s favorite books when she was a kid, and they still are.

Eliza has really shown us her bilingual skills this month. Every day, she asked us to play the song “Skidamarink” in Spanish, and she sang ‘El pollito pio’ all by herself.

Oliver is being so chatty this month! We get so entertained by his facial expressions and his blabbing. Go Ollie!

Sydney has been so excited about moving to the Bud room. We talk about it every morning, and she had a blast visiting, too. Although she’ll miss her friends, she’s moving with her bestie, Eliza.

Wesley never stops surprising us. This month, she’s definitely gotten the hang of putting on her snow suit and snow accessories all by herself. Talk about independence!

February’s focus will be ‘Me, Myself, and I.’ This month, we’ll explore what makes each person unique. We’ll learn more about our likes and dislikes, and understand what our emotions mean to us and how our bodies work.

  • This month’s books are:
  • The Feel Good Book
  • I Love All of Me
  • Ten Little Fingers
  • Llama Llama I Love You

Friendly Reminders

  • Please bring in a family photo so we can complete our family board.
  • Growing Tree is Closed on February 16th for Presidents’ Day

 Here’s to a fun month!
