2025 December Seedling News

Seedling Families,

Thank you to all our families who could attend the conferences! We enjoyed talking about your kiddos and getting to know each other better. Our next set of conferences will be in the Spring, where we will focus more on your kiddos’ development rather than just a meet and greet with teachers. We’ll provide more information about that as the date approaches.

Be sure to check Brightwheel to see your kiddo’s location in their routine before pick-up. If you’d like us to wake them or prepare a bottle beforehand, just let us know. We’re here to help and want to make your pick-up and evening as smooth as possible 🙂

There are some changes in our enrollment this month. We said “see you outside” to Theo and Jack and “hello” to our new friend, Elliotte. She will now be with us full time! We will also be welcoming a new friend, Calvin, during December.

We’ve enjoyed singing and dancing together this month. Friends point at each other, clap along, and wiggle their bodies as teachers sing!

Gross motor development is something we can all see daily. It’s important to remember that each child will develop at their own pace, and the best thing we can do for them is to offer plenty of opportunities to build their skills. We have all been working on tummy time together! Yes, all the kiddos are doing great with sitting, but we want to make sure they can get themselves in and out of sitting safely, which is why we are emphasizing tummy time so much! We have been placing toys slightly further out of reach to encourage movement.

Our Sing-Along will be on Monday, December 8th at 6pm. We hope everyone can attend!

Archie has been mastering rolling this month–one moment he’s in the middle of the room, and the next he’s rolled himself all the way to the cubby to grab a new toy! He also started eating solid foods with us, trying different textures and flavors! Yum!

Avery crawls from one end of the room to the other to greet teachers and friends with a friendly “Hi! We are so grateful to get to know her more as she’s been coming in several times each week!

Ellie is practicing her facial expressions and sounds. She blows bubbles, rolls her tongue, and makes her “oooo” sound! She has been rolling from her back to her tummy every day!

Elliotte has joined our class! She loves watching her friends play nearby and has been giving us all big smiles and giggles. We are so excited to have her with us!

Hudson has started pulling himself around the classroom and waving to his friends and teachers! While listening to “If You’re Happy and You Know It,” Hudson clapped and attempted to stamp his feet!

Ren has been pushing herself up into a seated position from her tummy and even started crawling this month! She also loves grooving to teachers and songs — she wiggles, waves her hands in the air, and claps whenever she hears music or singing!

Sonny has been showing off his waving and shaking skills in class, as well as his strength to pull himself up! He has also begun eating with us in class and enjoys babbling with friends at the table!

Thank you for being part of our class!

Jo, Danielle, & Blanca
