Sprout 1 Families
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving break, filled with your loved ones and yummy food! We cannot believe it is already December! We have welcomed new friends into our classroom this past month and sent off some old ones to grow in the Bud Room! Our friends from the Big Seed room have been doing so well with the transition; we are so impressed! They have been loving the playground structure, riding bikes, and playing with their new friends in the Sprout 2 room. We are excited to see our friends continue to thrive in our room and build even stronger connections with each one of them!
What have the Sprouts been learning about?
The Sprouts have been learning about clothes this November, and as the seasons change, warm clothes are coming too! As the weather gets colder, we have noticed we need to start wearing hats, mittens, boots, and heavy jackets to stay warm. Our friends have also really enjoyed dressing up! From veterinarians to firefighters to chefs, these kids have been loving playing doctor and cooking in our play kitchen!
What will we explore next?
This December, the Sprouts will explore light and the many ways it is used! We use light for many reasons, including celebrations, nighttime, and adding a special touch. We are excited to explore all the meaningful ways light can show up for us in our lives.
Important Reminders
Please ensure you bring weather-appropriate clothing as we head into winter. We have school extras available for hats, mittens, boots, and sweatshirts, if needed. Snowsuits, snow pants/jackets, boots, mittens, and hats should all be kept at school as Winter approaches

This Little Sprout….
Colette has been loving some doodling time! She will sit in your lap and doodle on the Etch A Sketch. Once she’s done, she loves to show off her masterpiece!
Maz and Wolf have been loving our ‘car cars’, especially our donut, ice cream, and taco trucks! Vroom vroom!!
Lonnie has been loving the play structure outside! He will be in a continuous loop of climbing up the stepping blocks and going down the slide!
Elle and Lily have been serenading us with their beautiful singing voices! Especially practicing our songs for the Holiday Sing-a-Long and, of course, their favorite song, Happy Birthday!
