Bud Families,
Dear Bud Families,
The Buds had a bountiful harvest season this past month! We talked about harvest foods and how they were harvested. We had a mini “Buds-Giving” during snack time with our homemade applesauce. The Buds worked together by peeling the apples and adding the ingredients and enjoyed tasting the apple sauce that they worked hard to make!
The Buds also loved seeing their harvest art projects made of paper hung throughout the classroom. Our fine motor skills were tested by beading with pipe cleaners to make corn on the cob and feathering our turkeys!
The Buds have been preparing for our Growing Tree Holiday Sing-A-Long. The kiddos are excited about performing our two songs for their families! We are excited to see you all on December 8th.
In December, we will start our “Box” study! The Buds will play with and examine all kinds of boxes and learn their many uses. We will provide different-sized boxes for creating great building skills, both socially and physically. With discussions about the many different ways boxes can be used, we hope to inspire imagination and bring out their flexible thinking.
Quick reminders:
- Winter gear will be stored in each child’s cubby. We prefer that their winter clothes stay at school during the week. This way, they are always prepared for the climate of the day. Please take the clothes home on Friday if you need them, but remember to bring them back on Monday. Labels are our best friend! The Buds are practicing their independence, and with that comes mix-ups with personal items. If there is a name, we are able to easily return items to the correct family.
Holiday Closures:
- December 24: closing at 3 pm
- December 25th and 26th: Growing Tree is closed
- January 1st: Growing Tree is closed
Welcome to the Buds!
Cadence, Declan, Grady, and Jaxon Joined the buds this last month to bring our class total to 17. Starting December 1st we will add Elliott and Violet to make it 19! We are excited to be ‘almost’ to full capacity. Early spring we will add the last two Sprouts as they age up into Buds.
It was so great to connect during conferences! We appreciate your support and working together to ensure your child continues to thrive in our care. It truly takes a village, and we are so grateful we get to be part of yours!
Happy holidays to you and your family!
Kindly,
Ms. Stephanie, Ms. Maci, & Ms. Gale
