Seedling Families,

The Seedlings are off to a fantastic start to the new school year! We welcomed our new friends Theo, Sonny, and Avery last month, and we’ve enjoyed getting to know them and their families. It has been delightful watching them interact and play with new friends, and observing how gentle and welcoming our experienced babies have been.

Jack and Theo met up like they were old friends, playing peek-a-boo around the chairs in the classroom and through the windows of the outside playhouse. They laugh until they are out of breath and are always looking for each other when they aren’t together. We are so happy that they will be moving to the Big Seed room together in November, but we will miss watching them play.

Sonny and Archie will roll off their play mats until they end up next to each other, then smile and touch hands while cooing to one another. They are both busy little guys who want to be active and are beginning to sit with support.

Ren, Ellie, and Hudson are confident sitters, and Ren and Hudson have even started sitting at the table for some of their meals. Ren is leaning forward onto her hands and one knee, trying to get into a crawling position. While she hasn’t figured out crawling yet, she has been scooting herself short distances around the classroom. Hudson and Ellie prefer to start from their stomachs and try to push forward with their toes; when they get tired of that, they roll to get where they want to go.

We’ve only spent a few hours with Avery, and she was curious about her new friends and enjoyed being outside. We look forward to getting to know her and her family better.

As our days, especially the mornings, get cooler, we ask parents to please bring a light jacket, socks or shoes, and a hat each day for your little ones. They all enjoy going outside, and we would like to continue going out and enjoying the fresh air and change of scenery for as long as possible.

Please ensure that your child’s coat, hat, bag, and diapers are properly labeled.

We feel so grateful to have such an amazing group of parents and infants. We appreciate your feedback on how your child is doing at Growing Tree and if there’s anything you’d like to see done differently. Open communication is very important to us, and we believe that a good day at school leads to a good night at home with you.

Have a great October!
