Hello Big Seed families! I am super excited about meeting all of you and bonding with your little ones.
Here’s a little bit about me. I am from Bend and truly enjoy the wonderful community it has to offer. I am 22 years old. Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants, spending time with my family, and working on acrylic nails. I am in my second year working with children and teaching in the Big Seeds room. I attend COCC for Early Childhood Education, and I’m eager to gain more experience! Children need a strong foundation in their early years. From learning numbers and colors to feeling confident and secure, knowing they can accomplish anything they set their mind to later in life! It is an honor to be part of a child’s journey through life.
Your Big Seed will need:
- Diapers, wipes, and diaper cream
- At least one complete change of clothes
- Sleep sack/Blanket
- Luvy or Binky if needed

Family Photo
We would love for you to bring in a family photo for our family tree, so we can look at it and discuss it throughout the day.
The Big Seeds sleep on cots and use a blanket, a sleep sack, and a lovey for naps. On a typical day, they will take a nap at 12 pm. Could you please take the blankets home on Fridays to wash & return them when they return to school on Monday? We will focus on self-help skills, i.e., independent handwashing, putting on their coat, using silverware, encouraging language, and meeting developmental milestones.
Each month, we will have a month-long “Study.” These studies will incorporate books, art, songs, and ASL that relate to the study. In September, we will focus on getting comfortable in our routines and getting to know each other.
Communication: Growing Tree uses the Brightwheel app to log diapers, meals, and naps, as well as check in and out of the center. Messaging is available on the BW App for any questions or updates you would like to receive about your child.
We know leaving your little ones can be challenging, so we would love to help make the transition easier! Feel free to reach out at any point. We are here for you.
