Welcome to the Bud classroom, we are thrilled to have you!
We have three teachers in the Bud room, and we would like to introduce ourselves in case you haven’t had the chance to meet us yet.
Ms. Stephanie: (7:30am – 1:30pm) I have spent most of my adult life working in early childhood education. I love watching children develop and have those many “ah-ha” moments. I believe in the importance of adult/child interactions and positive guidance. I am the mother of two grown daughters and a proud Grandmother of two active boys!. I love to create, craft, garden, and most of all, spend time with my family.
Ms. Maci: (8:00 am -5:00 pm) I have worked in early childhood education for 9 years, and I love that each day isdifferent and exciting. I have lived in Bend for 14 years now. I recently got engaged and can’t wait to get married next October. I love going to concerts; I am a huge bookworm; baking is my love language; and I love getting to be outdoors and explore new places.
Ms. Gale: (8:30 am – 5:30 pm) I have worked with children for over 25 years. I love what I do and look forward to each day. I have six grown children and three grandchildren. I enjoy working in my garden and yard work, going to the beach (Rockaway and Santa Cruz are my favorites), and spending time with family and friends.
This month, we will start the school year by exploring our emotions! We will create “Scribble Spot” emotion pictures, engage in gratitude activities, and sing fun emotion songs. Our goal is for our Buds to learn helpful re-centering tools, such as breathing techniques. We will also identify their emotions as they arise and find ways to express how they feel, using positive reinforcement. This will lay the groundwork for independence and growth that we’ll carry throughout the year.
We have a family board, so please bring in a picture or pictures of your family to add to the masterpiece! The children love looking at their family’s photos on the wall.
Please note that this is an age of growth and independence; however, learning responsibility is an ongoing process. To help us and your kiddos, please label every item of clothing or personal item you bring into the classroom. This will help us ensure that everything is returned to the right places, especially as more responsibility is given to the children.
