Branch Families,
Welcome to the Branch room! We are incredibly excited to kick off this new school year and can’t wait to watch your child grow and flourish with us. It’s truly special to see the growth that happens in these early years, and we’re thrilled to be part of their journey!
While in the Branch room, children will develop their language, physical, and social skills. One of our main priorities in the classroom is to help build and enhance our social-emotional skills; such as problem-solving, emotional and self-regulation, and a sense of independence. The children will be more receptive to learning once these skills are established.
Watching the growth in each child from their very first day to their last in the Branch room is truly special. We can’t wait for you to see it for yourself! We’re sure you’ll love the progress you’ll notice in your Brancher!
With that being said, we would like to introduce ourselves!
We are Ms. Heather (9 years at GT) and Ms. Gracen (4 years at GT). We’ve been teaching together for four years now, and the Branch room has become a well-oiled machine! We can’t wait to get to know each of you and your families better, and we hope you feel the same about us! If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to ask. We’d love to provide the clarity you’re seeking. We are dedicated to your child’s development and aim to create a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for your families!
In September, our “Study” will focus on Getting to Know One Another and Our Classroom! Starting a new class can bring mixed feelings. It can be exciting and fun, but also quite intimidating and nerve-wracking. That’s why it’s so important to us to make the transition as smooth as possible for the children. By taking the time to learn the ins and outs of the Branch room, we believe we will achieve just that! We will focus on classroom procedures and expectations, while also incorporating fun and engaging activities to help us get to know each other’s personalities better.
We also plan to tackle a Germ unit throughout September. This unit is designed to help the children learn more about their bodies and the importance of keeping them and the classroom clean and germ-free!
Cheers to a wonderful year ahead!
– Miss Gracen & Miss Heather
- Reminders:
Please bring one small blanket on one lovey for our rest times. - Please ensure that your child has a change of clothing in their cubby basket. Accidents happen; when they do, we want to ensure your child is comfortable throughout the day.
- Please bring in pictures of your family for our classroom Family Board! You may bring in however many pictures you please. We say, “The more, the merrier!” The children always love to show off their pictures!
